This is my entry in the '8 Minutes of Peace' contest. Because of the World Olympics being held in Bejing on 08-08-08, it is being proposed that we pause for 8 minutes on the 8th day of each month at 8 p.m. in our own time zones to offer peace in some form to our neighbours.
My entry, I hope, represents that 8 minutes. The two halves of the world being seen at one time forming an 8 being supported by one man and one woman of different races indicating unity and peace.
For more about 8 Minutes of Peace, please check out their website. Sometimes it takes a bit to load if you are on dialup, but the message is worth hearing about. http://www.8minutesofpeace.com/
I hope you will find it in your heart to help your neighbours in some form at 8 p.m.
I have finally completed my panel for Le Cadeau du Cheval. If you wish to see it, you will need to go to the mural site and look at it there. Just seeing it on a page is nothing compared to seeing it integrated with all the other growing number of panels. I can't wait to see it in its entirety. Keep clicking on the site to see the mural grow!! (put it in your favorites, or bookmark it, for future reference!!)
Born and raised in the West, I have always been drawn to the cowboy and the Western environment.
My acrylic paintings and scratchboard art try to capture the essence of the moment from the teen cowboy who has lost his chance at a buckle to the yawning lazy horse to the rodeo bull awaiting his chance to explode in the arena.
I have been an artist almost all of my life and thoroughly enjoy interpreting my visions of nature-in-the-raw as well as the nature in your home (pets).
From my art being displayed in the San Diego Museum of Art as a teen, winning countless blue ribbons and reserve sweepstakes at county fairs to placing first at the Utah State Fair, my life has been full and rewarding.
