The Horse Gift, almost done

This my latest installment and it will probably be the last WIP pic because I am to the final tweaking stages and the next pic will be the final one of the panel that I will submit.

This has been a fun ride, through all its 'OMG, I'll never get this right' to one of the head honchos for the mural telling me he loves it.

I would love to do it again. These murals give you freedom while having restraints. It pushes you beyond what you think you can do, but reels you in, making you conform. I feel so honored to be a part of this. This has been a learning experience and has enhanced my art considerably.

The mural grid is active, check it out. http://www.muralmosaic.com/Cadeau.html. My panel will be on there soon.

Mural Mosaic, my latest installment

Le Cadeau du Cheval, The Horse Gift Mural Mosaic...............

One more step closer to finish. Still lots to do but the generalities are now there. It is still a sketch at this point, color values will need to be addressed, etc. I think I will call it Foundation.

The Horse Gift is started, and Gus is finished!

Le Cadeau du Cheval, the Horse Gift: Here is my foal with his mama. It is just sketched in right now and a little will be done each day until I get it the way I want it. They have started to put finished panels on the mural site, so if you want to see it as it develops, go here http://www.muralmosaic.com/Cadeau.html

I was able to get my commission of Gus done in time for the buyer to unveil it to her parents for their anniversary. Gus is their baby, their 'fur'baby, and they love him to death. If you would like to see Gus done, click here http://www.sues-art.com/wip.html and scroll down.

Le Cadeau du Cheval, the Horse Gift

I got my panel! I am so excited. I can see horses in it that I could not see in the online pic of it. It looks like a herd, but then again I can see the foal laying there. Choices, choices!
The pic here is off the internet and is actually way too blue, in real life the panel is chestnut brown, gray and magenta.
I will let the panel sit across the room from my computer for a day or two before actually deciding on what to paint. I will post updates as I go along.
