My latest painting, 18x24 acrylic on hardboard, depicts a beautiful summer thunderstorm over Zion National Park. I see this type of scene yearly and just couldnt resist painting it. If you are interested in purchasing, please contact me at sues.art@gmail.com.
I have entered a Virtual pARTy with the above watercolor. It is 5x7 and is titled "Determination" and is being offered for $125. It will be matted with a black mat, ready for an 8x10 frame. Postage is included in price.
What is a Virtual pARTy? ...."On a given day an image will be shared, along with the subsequent artwork painted by the pARTy hosts. Participants are then invited to create art from the referenced image. Anything goes, but the artwork must have been started and finished within a 24 hour period..." To see the reference photo, which was graciously donated by Juliet Harrison(http://www.julietrharrisonphotography.com/)please visit the Virtual pARTy website(http://www.the-virtual-party.blogspot.com/).

Born and raised in the West, I have always been drawn to the cowboy and the Western environment.
My acrylic paintings and scratchboard art try to capture the essence of the moment from the teen cowboy who has lost his chance at a buckle to the yawning lazy horse to the rodeo bull awaiting his chance to explode in the arena.
I have been an artist almost all of my life and thoroughly enjoy interpreting my visions of nature-in-the-raw as well as the nature in your home (pets).
From my art being displayed in the San Diego Museum of Art as a teen, winning countless blue ribbons and reserve sweepstakes at county fairs to placing first at the Utah State Fair, my life has been full and rewarding.
